HealthcareCulture ChangeLearning Adoption
The Challenge
Engagement with existing digital learning platforms was low and inconsistent across regions. With a substantial investment in LinkedIn Learning licences at risk, the organisation faced the possibility of cancelling all learning licences if adoption did not improve. The challenge was to shift from sporadic, compliance-driven learning to a culture of meaningful, everyday development across South Africa, Namibia, and eventually global operations.
Our Approach
We designed a focused change and adoption strategy built around five drivers: ease of access, curated content aligned to team needs, team-based learning, manager-driven engagement, and visible recognition of learning. The centrepiece was a high-impact Learning Activation Week campaign that encouraged employees to activate their licences and explore the platform. We built a detailed change plan and handed it over to a newly formed team of internal change enablers, equipping them with everything needed to sustain momentum after launch.
Measurable Outcome
Activation rates during launch week surpassed initial targets. Platform engagement grew from below 30% to nearly 70% — more than doubling active usage. The approach proved scalable: it has since been adapted for international rollout across multiple geographies, confirming both its impact and its repeatability.
