This page explains how to request access to records held by Change Lab Consulting, under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA), read with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What PAIA lets you do

PAIA gives you the right to request access to records we hold, subject to the grounds for refusal set out in the Act and in our manual. Access to your own personal information is free of charge. Other requests may attract a prescribed fee.

The Regulator’s Guide

The Information Regulator has published a plain-language Guide on how to use PAIA. It is available on the Regulator’s website at www.inforegulator.org.za, on the PAIA guidelines page, or on request from our Information Officer.

How to request records

1. Complete the prescribed PAIA request form (Form 2), available from the Information Regulator at https://inforegulator.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/InfoRegSA-PAIA-Form02-Reg7.pdf.
2. Send the completed form to our Information Officer, using the contact details above.
3. Describe the record you want and the right you are seeking to exercise, and give us enough detail to identify the record and to contact you.
4. Where a fee applies, we will give you a written estimate before we do the work. Access to your own personal information is free.

Records you can get without a formal request

Some information, such as details of our services, brochures and marketing material, is already available on our website and can be obtained without a formal PAIA request.
