Culture Change

By 2 May 2025February 20th, 2026

Our team led a change management initiative focused on driving adoption of LinkedIn Learning across the organisation. Focusing initially on the South African and Namibian regions, the approach was designed to be adapted and scaled to support international rollouts. The goal was to drive adoption and foster a culture of meaningful learning engagement across the organisation.

The Challenge

The organisation was experiencing low engagement with digital learning platforms and inconsistent adoption across regions. Given the significant investment in LinkedIn Learning licenses, there was a risk that without a marked increase in adoption and engagement, the organisation would need to cancel all learning licenses.

Our Solution for Driving Adoption

We partnered closely with the client to map out the stakeholder landscape and develop a targeted change and learning adoption strategy. Our approach focused on five core areas shown to enhance learning engagement:

  1. Ease of Access – Simplifying and streamlining access to the platform.
  2. Curated Content – Aligning learning resources to specific stakeholder and departmental needs.
  3. Team-Based Learning – Promoting collective learning within teams.
  4. Manager-Driven Engagement – Equipping line managers to champion learning in their teams.
  5. Recognition of Learning – Introducing methods to celebrate and reward learning achievements.

To kick off adoption, we organised a high-impact Learning Activation Week. This campaign encouraged employees to activate their learning licenses and engage with the platform, resulting in activation rates exceeding our initial targets.

We also developed a comprehensive change plan and transferred ownership to a newly formed team of change enablers. This team was equipped with all necessary collateral and guidance to continue driving adoption sustainably.

The Outcome

The initial activation week generated strong momentum, significantly surpassing our target activation rate. Following the campaign, engagement with the platform steadily increased. The structured change plan, combined with empowered change enablers, ensured that the team was set up to bring about continued growth in adoption and embedding learning as a key part of the culture. The project has since informed the rollout approach in the organisation’s international regions, demonstrating its scalability and success.
